Both my niece and Payton should be starting kindergarten this year although due to different reasons neither of them will be able to begin school when Charlie goes back to school this year. Yesterday my sister called to let me know Jason has been working on his homework like Charlie does so he will be prepared for school.
As I talked to my sister, I could tell she was frustrated and upset and that she didn’t know how to comfort Jason when he sees the school buses and all he wants to talk about is beginning school or talking about Charlie going back to school and he needs to do his homework so he is prepared for what he will be learning.
After talking to David and letting him know how bad I felt about Jason not being able to go to school. When David reminded me, Jason could do like Charlie did and they could enroll him in classes at the Recreation Center as they host a Pre-K class run by our friends Mrs. Dottie who was Charlie’s teacher because he couldn’t go to Pre-Kindergarten either.
As I thought about it, I couldn’t see Alyssa Jason’s mom taking him to class each day. So I decided to look through Charlies homeschool books and see what I could find that Jason could use if his mom would teach him. Or his grandmother if she wasn’t too busy. As I began to pull stuff out Charlie asked me not to give his stuff away as he might need it.
I decided to look at products for Pre K and Kindergarten on Amazon to see what I could find Jason could use in his school if his mom would Homeschool him. As I looked around I also picked out items they would be able to use with Lily. Because I didn’t want to leave her out and she doesn’t like being left behind and likes to do the same things Charlie and Jason does.
I thought I would share some of the books I picked out for Lily and Jason. One the items arrive I will share them with my mother-in-law and she can order some for Payton for her mom to work with her in. Although the sad part is I don’t think her mom will work with her which is sad because Payton is willing to learn if someone would take the time to sit down and work with her.
