Yesterday was the first day in our #FunFamilyFitness Challenge, and we were to walk and instead of walking through our neighborhood as it was too hot and the humidity was too high for me to be outside. So when David got home from work, we went out to NRH (North Richland Hills Recreation Center) in Colleyville, Texas.
I am excited to let you know I walked for 30 minutes in the pool, and then I got out and went to the Hot Tub and sat for another 30 minutes to work out the muscles I haven’t used in a while. Then David took Charlie and me out to dinner to I Hop/ I Hob since they decided to do Hamburgers.
I chose a Hamburger and Onion Rings and a glass of Sweet Tea which after Friday I will not be drinking as I have a picture David made me which I need to finish. I am proud to say I only ate half of my Hamburger my Onion RIngs and some of David’s Fries. But I didn’t eat anything else last night.
This morning, I got up and got a bottle of water, and once I finish it, I will have drank four bottles of water for today, and my goal is six bottles so I should make it today. Then I had a Fold Over Peanut Butter Sandwich for breakfast and nothing for lunch as of yet. I may get a snack in a little bit.
Today we will be out walking as we plan on going to look for a car. As well as Riding our bikes as today my Goal is to make it through my neighborhood at least twice with Charlie. Although the time it takes me to make it two times through our neighborhood Charlie could end up making it around 10 to 15 times although all that matters is I tried, and I did.
So come and join us in our #FunFamilyFitness Challenge and you don’t have to have a Bike to participate all you have to do is pledge to get up and move for 30 minutes and to lay all the electronics aside while your exercising. If someone does the exercises with you, plan on talking to them and get to know there hopes and dreams.
As this is another reason, I set the challenge up is to spend one on one time with Charlie when David is at work. Then in the evenings David and I will be walking, and it will give us time together with no interruptions so we can get to know each other again. Because I feel like we are losing each other and Charlie to all the electronics in our lives.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
