In #HomeschoolWithBoardGames: SCATTERGORIES CATEGORIES from Winning Moves Games is one of the games we will be playing in Homeschool this month.
- THE GAME OF FAST-THINKING CATEGORIES: Since first hitting the market in 2010, Scattergories Categories has been entertaining quick-witted Scattergories fans everywhere with its fun twist on the original game.
- HOW TO PLAY: This unique iteration of the classic game includes all new word challenges. Each round starts with a word and phrase. For instance, the card says “bottles” and “things made out of glass.” You have two minutes to list as many things made out of glass as you can that start with the letters in the word “bottles.” For example, “bowl” for “B,” “orb” for “O,” “teacup” for “T” and so on. When time is up, players compare their lists and get 1 point for each unique answer.
- DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE AGES 12 AND UP: Scattergories Categories is designed for 2 or more players ages 12 and up.
Reading:
Set the Board Game up and ask the players to sit down. Read the instructions to them and ask questions to make sure they understand what is going to happen and why. Then have them ask you questions to make sure you understand what is going to happen and why. Make notes inside your Game Journal so the next time you play you will know what is going to happen. Also, keep the Score and who played inside the notebook.
Spelling Class:
Scattergories Categories, Fast-Thinking Catergories Game, Edition, Cards, Shortbread, Snickerdoodles, Rugelach, Banana Bread, Fun Twist, Classic Game, Updated Version, Word and Phrase, Things Made Out of Glass
Math Class:
Count the Game pieces and create 5 math problems from your answer for the families to work out. Then have them create 5 math problems for you to work out.
Art Class:
Use one of the Cards to create a piece or Art and make sure you include a description of what you drew and why inside your Art Journal.
Drama Class:
Act out one scene from the Game and make sure as your acting out the Scene explain what your acting out and why. Include a description of what you acted out inside your Art Journal.
Cooking Class:
Create a Snack based on the Game that can be served when your playing the Game. Make sure you write what you created and why inside your Cooking Journal and include the Recipe.
