Twisted Root Burger Co.

The Mommies Reviews

The other day a friend of mine and I were going to do a Girls Day Out. We were going to Tanger Mall and have lunch in Roanoke, Texas. We had seen Twisted Root Burger Co. when we had visited there a couple of weeks earlier. Now, even though it was a Girls Day Out Charlie was with, us, and I was afraid they wouldn’t have anything Charlie would eat.

As he isn’t much for Hamburgers but Charlie surprised me when he picked out a Grilled Cheese and Fries. As soon they delivered it Charlie was able to sit down and look at the Grilled Cheese he let me know he liked the bread they used because they used came Texas Toast. There was the perfect balance of Cheese to Bread. It wasn’t dry or overcooked.

As for the Fries, Charlie isn’t much of a French Fry eater, but he did try them, and he liked the taste and said they weren’t overcooked and there was just enough Season on them and they weren’t salty like a lot of places we have eaten ate. Charlie was kind enough to let me have a bit of his, Fries and Sandwich, and I, enjoyed them a lot, and I wouldn’t mind ordering them for myself when we go back.

My friend Debbie who went to lunch with us chose the lots-a-shroom, and she said the Mushrooms was tasty and that it was the perfect amount. She loved how the Cheese melted, and they covered the entire Hamburger. The meat had an excellent taste, and it wasn’t dry, and it was the perfect size for the size of the bun and amount of bread you get.

With Debbie’s Sandwich, Debbie ordered fried onion strings and a side of Ranch. The one thing that upset Debbie was they charged her 50 cents for the Ranch. Most restaurants offer for free as you use it to dunk your fried onion strings in. Debbie allowed me to taste the fried onion strings which were tasty. I wish I had ordered some to bring home with me for a night time snack.

For myself, I ordered the hand-cut potato chips as they were my daughter and my favorite chips. They were so good that I can’t wait to order them again. They weren’t dry, and they had just the correct amount of Seasoning. I liked how crispy the hand-cut potato chips were, and they are so tasty that they could quickly have become my favorite part of the meal.

For myself, I ordered the all American and I liked knowing it came with American Cheese as that is my preferred cheese.  I was able to let them know which veggies I wanted on the Sandwich, and it came with Mayonaise with I prefer to Mustard. The bacon was perfectly cooked, and there was enough that it covered the Burger and even hung over which I liked. The meat had the perfect amount of seasoning, and it wasn’t dry. I can’t wait to return and order this again.

I can’t wait to take Charlie as there are so many other items I want to try and ones I think David would enjoy as well. Including the Exotic Meats, they carry as David likes to explore and try new things when he eats. When Charlie and I want to stay with items we know and love. Although Charlie said, he found quite a few shakes he would like to try including a few new ones he hasn’t had the opportunity to try.

I believe this is the perfect Family Restaurant as the prices aren’t so high people can’t afford to purchase dinner for everyone. Or it would be the ideal place to hold a Meeting as there was a cute little Patio area outside with Fans and Tables where the kids could run and play.
