Last night my family was able to attend the Tree Lighting and Fireworks Ceremony at Texas Motor Speedway for there Children’s Charity event. If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend this event I would like to invite you out next year.
Through there Children’s Charity they was able to donate over 100 bikes to children in need as well a donate funds to local organization’s. Including a Wish with Wings who received a check from Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas for $55,000 so they can keep making wishes come true for kids with life-threatening diseases!
I love how they incorporate the Christmas Tree Lighting with Fireworks as it teaches us Holiday’s can be celebrated together giving us Hope. I love how they had events for children of all ages. From having picture with Rudolf and Olaf to free Hot Chocolate and cookies.
Charlie was even able to write his letter to Santa and mail it right on sight. I just wish I had taken the time to write my letter as well. As I have been good and I would like to have presents as well. With David not being as good as he should have been he should have written a letter as well.
Now with everything they had included the main part of the event was the Charities they was helping this year and I am telling you I was amazed at all they do for the Community and my family was blessed to be a part of the event as it taught Charlie to give to others.
Since 1997, Speedway Children’s Charities at Texas Motor Speedway has distributed more than $10 million in funding to non-profit organizations in Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties supporting children in need. The funds distributed by Speedway Children’s Charities are raised through special events held throughout the year. Most of Speedway Children’s Charities events are geared around the three major race weeks at Texas Motor Speedway.
Speedway Children’s Charities could fill the grandstands at Texas Motor Speedway 16 times with the number of children we have helped since 1997. Our reach is far, and the dollars we raise go to directly helping children in our community.
