“Get Rid of your fear of blogging Once and For All” and just do it.

Good morning, How are you? As we begin our day I am back with the Ultimate Blog Challenge and we are on Day 20. It’s so hard to know there is only 12 days left in this challenge. Although I have done much better than in the past and managed to post every day except one and I caught up the next day after someone asked where my post was.

So this morning I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to visit my blog during the challenge and leave me comments. As well as give me tips to keep me motivated.

David is off this morning and we have a lot of housework to do this morning. Before we can head out to do something  fun with Charlie. As well as I have some blogging post I need to do.

So I ended up getting up at the crack of dawn so I could work when it was quite and no, one would be disturbing me. As I was going through emails I found this mornings challenge and I wanted to share the prompts with you.

  • Get Rid of ________ Once and For All (ex., Get rid of Your Money Problem Once and For All)
  • The Secret To ________ (ex., The Secret to Financial Peace of Mind)
  • How to ________ and ________ (ex., Dale Carnegie’s book, How to Win Friends and Influence People).
  • See how Easily You Can Learn To ________ (ex., See How Easily You Can Learn To Lose 10 Pounds)

As I read through the post I kept thinking that I didn’t have a clue as to what I would write about this morning. Although God knew what he wanted me to say and share. Because as I wrote this post this morning it popped into my head.

So here goes

If you have been thinking about starting a blog and have been scared or afraid someone won’t read your blog or that they might make fun of you for starting one them I would like to tell you to “Get Rid of your fear of blogging Once and For All” and to just do it.

Don’t worry about what others say and just write what is on your heart or what  you would like to share. Once day someone will find your blog and if not that is okay as well as your doing something that makes you happy.

Because every time I think no, one is reading my blog I end up with something that tells me different and even if no, one is reading it its okay as it makes me happy just to write and share what my family does.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates

    1. I am going to join the fun and not stop again ever God willing. Congrats on 7 years of blogging. I have been at it since 2007.

  1. Yes Glendal agreed with you we’ve to overcome our fears if we want our dreams to be true be it blogging or anything like I’ve overcome my fear from darkness

    1. I am proud of you for overcoming your fear of darkness. Like you I have fears but baby steps can help me overcome them just like in writing this blog.

  2. Thanks, Glenda. I always love to read your posts because of what you write.

I am curious to see what you are going to say. So keep on blogging Glenda we always find something to say!

    Have a wonderful day,
    Gaétane

  3. Yes, that is a good one. I stopped many times writing my blog but after a few years and looking back, It is fun for myself to read it again . It is someting like a memory blog.

    1. A Memory Blog for my son is what I am working on creating as well and why I want him to start his own as he can share what he does. Then when he grows up he will be able to share it with his family.

  4. Well done Glenda! That is a wonderful achievement. Writing is such a therapeutic fun activity and so rewarding. The icing on the cake is when someone reads it and is moved by it. Thank you for sharing your tips and look forward to read more of your blogs! Have a wonderful day!

    1. Thank you, Emma and I have decided I love writing even if no, one reads it as it helps me relive stress and allows Charlie and I to work together. As well as David when he is in the mood.

  5. I’m glad I found you through the Ultimate Blog Challenge, I have enjoyed following your writings and especially about Charlie. WOW, ony 11 days left now!

    1. Try only 9 days and I have enjoyed your blog as well. Your becoming my Mentor and one I follow daily. As for Charlie he is a character but I love him to the moon and back and wouldn’t change him. Although I will not let him know you enjoy hearing about him as it would go to his head.

  6. Great message Glenda, it’s all about jumping in and giving it a go, fear should never hold any body back, especially when it comes to expressing yourself through a blog 🙂

    1. Thank you and no, fear shouldn’t and I am getting better at it not stopping because if someone doesn’t like what I do they can just step away. As I am writing for myself and my family no, one else and I am creating a business to help my husband out no, one else.

    1. Yes, we do and even if someone doesn’t I am going to trudge along as it feels so good to write and leave this for my son to see one day.

  7. I must admit, that since my blog wasn’t gathering much traffic, I had almost given it up. After I took up the challenge, I posted again after almost a month and it feels nice. Thank you all

  8. Thanks for this blog :). I’ve been thinking about getting started for a long time but have always been a little nervous, for a variety of reasons. Not sure why really! I just need to get out there and start writing. 🙂
