Greetings, welcome to Day 16 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge! Are you having fun yet? Have you joined us in the Ultimate Blog Challenge? If not there is still time to join us. Just sign up here .
This morning I have a question for you. Has a song ever gotten stuck in your head? Or do you have a favorite song lyric? How about a motto or creed that you live by (like, “Every Day Counts,” or “There is no failure, only lessons.”)
For me my word is “Believe” as we need to believe in ourselves and everything we do and not to give up on the things we want to do. As well as believe in the people and things around us.
If so I would like to ask you to come share a song lyric or the phrase you live by with me. As I would like to know why it is important to you and/or your company.
So now that you know”believe” is my word I also would like to share with you a song I live by each and every day. The song is “This Is My Fight Song” written by Rachel Platten.
Now I must confess that I hadn’t head of Rachel Platten before watching the Voice. As I am a avid follower of the Voice and American Idol. I never miss these television shows.
One night I sat down to watch the Voice and Billy Gilman was performing “This Is My Fight Song” written by Rachel Platten. I hadn’t heard of this song before but once I did I knew This Is My Fight Song” would be the song I live by.
This morning I would like to invite you to listen to ‘This Is My Fight Song” and let me know what you think of the song. Then I have a question for you do you watch either the Voice or American Idol??
Have you heard of Rachel Platten or Billy Gilman before today? If so had you heard of this song? If not now that you have had a chance to listen to it what did you think of the song and why?

Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
I am not familiar with her too much. I do love that song. It is inspiring to say the least.
I wasn’t either until the Voice but it is inspiring and I try and play it a couple times a week to remind Charlie it is his life.
Believe is definitely a great motto word. If we don’t believe in ourselves, no one else will! That voice knock-out is great! I’ve heard that song before but not sure where, must have been when traveling as that’s about the only time we have the radio on.
Traveling would be fun as for the Radio I keep it on to share special songs with my son. Ones with memories behind them as it allows me to share parts of my past with Charlie.
Great song Glenda. I liked the power in her voice while singing.
As for him, It was a bit different and we could feel his emotion through the song
but I did not know the song.
I like to watch ” The Voice ” They are very talented even The voice junior that we have,
they are amazing.
Have a good evening / Gaétane
I also liked the power she shows. As for Billy I could her his emotion and it is why I became hooked on the song.
Interesting fact: This Is My Fight Song was the first song to ever take off for Rachel Platten. She’d done several more beforehand that she just couldn’t seem to get heard so she wrote this song as her last ditch attempt at fame.
I didn’t know that and a interesting fact to share with David and Charlie.
