I am back with a brand-new children’s book Dream Big which I was lucky enough to read, as I was sent a copy in exchange for this review. The thoughts in the report are all mine and my families and no, one else.
Before I share my thoughts with you about Dream Big, I would like to let you know Donald Trump Jr is reading this book with his own family.
Since we had Christmas early as David has to work, I went ahead and gave Charlie Dream Big which I am so happy I did. As it has given Charlie something new to read during the Holidays. I want him to practice a lot as his teachers have been giving Charlie a lot of grief about his reading.
Charlie let me know he loved the storyline and Charlie loved seeing all the different animals. The colors in the books were beautiful, and it leads Charlie to sit down and draw again which he hadn’t wanted to do. If you ask me Dream Big is a must have for every family.
At the back of the Dream Big notes for teachers, librarians and parents with things you can do with your family. Charlie and I can’t wait to Make the Pom Pom Dream Catcher together.
Here is some information on Dream Big.
One by one, Caterpillar, Tadpole, and Flamingo gaze up at the night sky and wish upon a star for their wildest dreams. Baboon, who can’t help but overhear, insists these dreams could never come true. But when he sees Caterpillar turns into a winged butterfly, Tadpole into a dancing frog, and Flamingo into a beautiful pink bird, Baboon realizes that a trans-formative power exists between these stars and the animals once they truly believe in themselves and their dreams. When Baboon tries out this secret, CATCH-M, his Magical, Mystical, Wished-Upon Star, whooshes down from the heavens to wham! ignite the courage in his chest too, and what happens next is fantastic!
Inclusive of an Arts/Activities resource section, this richly illustrated book demonstrates that together we can all be inspired to identify and pursue our dreams, no matter how big or impossible they may seem. Dream Big is the perfect heart-warming gift of encouragement for anyone starting a new phase in their life or a great send-off for grads—preschool, high school, college, and beyond!
