This week in Charlies classroom he has been getting to know his classmates better. By using worksheets such as this one titled Know Your Classmates! And I liked it a lot as I can use it when we are working at home to help Charlie to get to know both our neighbors and family better.
Then he also had a worksheet called “Things I Did This Summer” and we will also be doing it with his friends and family. As it will give Charlie a chance to get to know his friends and family better. And to practice his handwriting and spelling.
Charlie also did a worksheet called Handwriting Practice and I like how it helps Charlie practice a certain letter. As this is something he needs to do on a daily basis. As Charlies handwriting is horrendous. And I also like that on the bottom of the website it list 2 different websites I can check out for more worksheets for Charlie.
And if you would like to check out these 2 worksheets you can find them at http://handwritingworksheets.com and the 2nd website is called http://www.ReadingKey.com and I know I will be using both of these as we progress through 3rd grade.
Then one of Charlies concerns is he will have trouble in math as they are starting to do 2 digit math and subtraction and even though I was teaching it to Charlie. I know he may struggle so each day we will be visiting this website and printing out worksheets to use in our home.
So if your students needs help in math then check out Education.com as well as HomeschoolMath.net and if these are not what you are looking for don’t forget that you can search Google and it will help you. As it has become my favorite resource to find worksheets. And also check out Pinterest.
Then on his conduct sheet Charlie recieved stickers for each day of the week which means he was excellent. And I am so proud of him. As I was afraid he wouldn’t be able to sit still and quite. But Charlie did and I am so proud of him. As is his dad, Aunt and grandparents. So putting him back in school may be the right thing for Charlie. Even though I am not 100% percent sure yet.
So for Charlies first day back in “PUBLIC SHCOOL” it went a lot smoother than I thought it would. And Charlie has even gotten up with me early everyday to walk in the park before school starts.
And in the afternoon we return to the park so Charlie can run and exercise and stretch from sitting at his desk all day long. And the only downfall we had this week was Charlie’s best friend Bradley ended up with “Strep Throat.” And so we would like to ask for Prayers that he has a speedy recovery.
And be watching next week to see what books Charlie will be reading and if I give him books to read or if the school sends him home with some. And also what we do for Spelling and Handwriting practice. Because even though Charlie is attending “public school” we are still doing Homeschooling as well. As you can never have to much learning as far as I am concerned.
