Here’s the lowdown on our Fun at Dave and Buster’s with a Giveaway!
Last week Charlie and I were able to invite our friends Ed and Andrea to Dave & Busters in Irving, Texas as our Guests. While there we was able to share some Game Cards with them. Which left a game card for Charlie and I to share. I wish you could have seen how excited Charlie and Ed was.
We arrived at Dave & Busters and as we drove in Charlie couldn’t believe how big Dave & Busters looked from the outside. When we all got inside we were amazed at how big the game area was. Before we went inside to play Games we stopped at the Service Desk and asked a few questions and the lady behind the desk was so helpful and kind to both Charlie and I.
Then we walked inside past the bar and the TV’s and I knew if David had came with us that the bar would be where David would want to stay. As he loves a good cold beer and Dave & Busters had quite a few to chose from. So if David goes with us next time I will need to hold the money or we will go broke by David just hanging out at the bar.
We walked on into the section with the Games and all of us were amazed at the variety of games they had. Ed, Andrea and I liked how many games they had for us to play because they even had games we watched on TV as well as played when we were children. So for a bit I was able to relive my childhood which was fun sharing with Charlie.
Charlie liked knowing there were both one person games as well as 2 person games because this gave David a chance to play not only with Ed but by himself as well. So while they played Andrea and I wandered around and used her game card and we played old school games like Monopoly and our favorite TV shows.
All of us had a Gift Card for $50 and we were able to play for over 2 and 1/2 hours and still have some money left on our cards at the end of the night. Which totally surprised use all. Now we was told when we walked in that our cards wouldn’t be good after 6 pm but we found out that wasn’t true as we stayed and played till almost 8 pm.
Once we finished playing the games we all went to eat as we was starving. All 4 of us liked how they had do many different items on the menu. Which made it hard to chose what we wanted to eat although we finally did pick out things we could share. Which was Spinach Dip, the Appetizer Platter and also Nachos. Charlie picked out the Gold fingers or Chicken Nuggets off the kids meal. Plus, we all had a Soda. I was worried this wouldn’t be enough food to fill everyone up but it was more than enough.
The only sad part was we all looked at the desserts and had thought of ordering one but by the time we all finished eating we didn’t have room for a dessert. Plus, Charlie and Ed wanted to get back to the games. So we forfeited our dessert but the next time we go back I am having a dessert even if it upsets someone.
I asked Charlie if I could taste his Gold Fingers and they was so tasty and there was enough that we could have shared them and still been full. Charlie was given Ranch to dip them in and the Ranch was nice and creamy tasting. I liked how crisp the Gold Fingers was without being dried out and Charlies Gold Fingers came with French Fries. The French Fries was crispy and they tasted so good because they wasn’t dried out nor was they greasy.
The Nachos we ordered were perfect and had just the right amount of Queso and Black Beans, Tomatoes and Seasoning. I liked the taste of the Queso and that our Queso wasn’t spicy and it would be something Charlie would eat with us. It was such a big platter that we took half of the appetizers home and they were just as good the next day as the day we ordered them.
The Appetizer Platter was a good size with a lot of food on it. Our platter was supposed to come with Boneless Bar-B-Que wings but with Andrea and I not being able to have Spicy Foods I asked for them plain and they brought them out. I really enjoyed the Wings as did Andrea and Ed. I can’t wait to order the wings again without the sauce for me and with the sauce for David. Also on our appetizer tray came with Cheese Sticks and they weren’t greasy nor hard to eat. and the Cheese Sticks was fried perfectly. They had just the right amount of cheese inside the Cheese Sticks and there was enough Cheese Sticks for each of us to have a couple which I liked.
Then we had a Potato Cake that was actually a hash brown with cheese on it and it was so good. The Potato Cakes were totally different from anything I have ever had and I hate to admit it but I am hooked on them and I can’t wait to try the Potato Cakes again as I want David to try them with me.
Now, if I was to tell the truth I wanted to try one of Dave & Busters Hamburgers as they looked so yummy and I couldn’t wait to try one of them out but being with friends it was more fun for everyone to pick something and to share it with each other. As for David I bet when I take him he will want to try the Salad Dave & Busters carries as it looked so yummy and from the picture it is huge and would feed both of us.
All in all Dave & Busters was a huge hit for people of all ages. and it is the perfect place to host a meeting or a Birthday Party for both children and adults alike as they have rooms for Birthday Parties and these rooms can also be used for Corporate Meetings. In fact I could even see someone hosting a Family Reunion at David & Busters.
I am hopping I will be able to hold Charlies Birthday party at Dave & Busters as I know Charlie will love it. and it will be different from anything he has ever done for his Birthday. Plus, his friends would be so excited to attend that we will have to beat them off with a stick as everyone we know will want to attend.
One thing I would like to point out is we had a $50 Gift Card and we was able to play games forever and we even shared the card and the tokens on it lasted longer than any place I have ever taken Charlie to. I can’t wait to go back to Dave & Busters and play more video games with Charlie.
