The Great Shape Up by Eleanor May is a children’s book I checked out for Charlie for his daily reading class. So today I would like to share the 3 reasons The Great Shape-Up was one of the books I chose for Charlie to read.
The first reason I checked out The Great Shape-Up by Eleanor May was this series was recommended by the Librarian. She let me know that Charlie should be able to read it The Great Shape-Up by himself. And we could use The Great Shape-Up during our Science class.
Then the second reason I wanted to check out The Great Shape-Up is because it was about Soccer. And anyone who knows Charlie loves Soccer and is ready to sign up and play again this year.
Then the third reason is The Great Shape-Up is a nice addition to my challenge for Get Up & Move. As The Great Shape-Up helps us get up and move and also teaches us healthy eating habits. And I hope more of you will join us in our Get Up & Move Challenge. As my Goal is to help everyone get up and move more. So we all feel and look better and become healthier.

So before Charlie and I read The Great Shape-Up. I sat down and read The Great Shape-Up as I wanted to see what it was about and if I thought Charlie would like it. And I enjoyed the story and the tips they enclosed inside The Great Shape-Up as they teach me tips for exercise and eating healthier.
The inside the back of The Great Shape-Up it gives us some questions I can have Charlie read so I will know if Charlie understood and paid attention to the story we read. And it offers us tips on how to get our friends interested in working out with us.
And both Charlie and I liked that they included these tips as they will work well with my challenge we are hosting. And Charlie enjoyed The Great Shape-Up as much as I did.
Charlie also likes knowing The Great Shape-Up is a part of a series of books called Science Loves It and I do as well. As I was wondering how I would be able to teach Charlie Science and this book offers ideal and suggestions.
And the Science Love it books teaches Observe! Infer! Predict! Compare! Communicate! to help the characters in the books deal with real life problems. I also like knowing these books are good for children from 1st through 8th grade. And I like that these books are great for independent readers as well as younger children as we can read the books to them.
