Charlie and I would like to share two new books we found when browsing our local bookstore last week that he wants to check out at our library if they have the books. As we were leaving the store, I reminded Charlie that until we make it to the public library, he could ask his school librarian to see if they have the books in the school library. So my question for you this morning is, have you read either book or any other books written by this artist and if so what did you like about them and also was there anything you didn’t care for and if so what was it and why? Teachers Pet is the first book Charlie, and I wanted to share with you. Newest edition by children’s Book Author Dayle Ann Dodds. Charlie wanted me to let you know the reasons he wanted to read Teachers Pet is because it is about a 9-year-old boy and Charlie was 9 and just turned ten so Charlie thinks he would have things in common with the boy in the book. Teachers Pet is about a teacher and Charlie loves all teachers and last but not least Teachers Pet has pets inside the book, and we all know Charlie loves all animals.

Dayle Ann Dodds is the author of numerous picture books for children, including Minnie’s Diner, The Shape of Things. The Kettles Get New Clothes and The Great Divide.
The second book Charlie can’t wait to read is Wheel Away because Charlie loves riding his bike down the hill and he wants to see if the boy in the bike goes as fast as he does. Charlie wants to know what all the commotion is and if it is something he has caused before and how a problem addressed. I even can’t wait to see what it was.
