Stop! Drop! & Read!

I am working on Stop! Drop! & Read! I am finding more and more Homeschool sites that will tie into the Stop! Drop! Read! Challange. The websites I am seeing will make Stop! Drop! & Read! More fun. I couldn’t do this new challenge without God because today a new blogger left me a comment and allowed me to visit her blog. As soon as I did, I fell in love with her website which is called Ten Books A Month. Ten Books A Month isn’t only a new resource in Stop! Drop! & Read! but also a perfect addition to our Homeschool.

Elle Stop! Drop! & Roll!

With me wanting to make sure Charlie is on the right level for reading but not always being sure of what books to check out for him, Ten Books A Month helps with this as they offer a list of books for Charlie’s age. Along with a list of younger children as well as older children. Ten Books A Month will help me make sure Charlie is on the level he needs to be.

In June when Stop! Drop! & Read! Starts I will be sharing this new website with Charlie as it will allow him to see a list of books for children his age. Once Charlie picks out the books he wants to read we can drop by the library to see if they have them. If not I can search online on Amazon as they have a lot of children’s books. If you are part of Kindle on Amazon, you can read the books for free. I plan on joining as soon as I know David is back at work full time.

I would like to remind you to sign up for Stop! Drop!& Read! Then stop by Ten Books A Month and let her know what you think of her site. Take a look at the books she has on there and come back and let me know which books you would like to read and why. Also, let me know how old your children are and if they are boys or girls.

As Charlie is 8 and he is a boy. Charlie has ADHD, and he struggles with reading. Because of this, he doesn’t want to read ever. I am hoping to Stop! Drop! & Read! Ten Books A Month that I can change the way Charlie feels about reading. As I love to read, and so did his sister Suzzane.

David doesn’t like to as he doesn’t know how to read or write.  I am hoping he will join us in the challenge to show Charlie he is trying to learn to read. I think this would change the way Charlie feels about reading.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
