For Christmas I had given Charlie Overmonts GOvermont Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven – 5.5QT Pot with Lid Cookbook & Cotton Potholders – Heavy-Duty Cookware for Braising, Stews, Roasting, Bread Baking in pink because both Charlie and Mikalia love to cook and pink is there favorite color.
Although, David knew it would be a while before Mikalia would be able to come and visit and for Charlie to get his own place. David talked Charlie into letting me have GOvermont Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven because he knew I had always wanted one.
During the #Holiday we didn’t cook that much I didn’t have the opportunity to use GOvermont Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven but once Christmas was over David decided to make Spaghetti for dinner and he used the Dutch Oven to cook the Spaghetti Noodles in and it worked perfectly.
I used it to make Velvetta Cheese Bacon and Potato Soup and it held enough that we were able to freeze some of the soup. I like how the Dutch Oven keeps the food warm for hours. It’s so easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.
I love the pink color of the GOvermont Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven which looks nice with the grey kitchen we have. Neither Charlie or I have been able to put the Dutch Oven in our cabinet because we love how it looks sitting out. I thought it might be to heavy for me to pick up when full of food but it wasn’t.
I like the lid that it comes with and the handle makes it easy to take off and put back on. I can’t wait to use the Dutch Over to make BBQ Ribs and Stew in it. Charlie said it would be nice to take to his Grandmother for her to make Tiny Noodles in for David and Charlie.
With Valentines Day right around the corner you can bet your bottom dollar GOvermont Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven will be inside our Valentines Day Gift Guide 25 because Charlie has asked for the Dutch Oven in in white.
