As you may know my family lives in North Richland Hills and right down the Street from me is the City of Richland Hills and the Link which is a Community Center that host events for the City. Including the Tree Lighting. Come join my family at the event and don’t forget to stop by the Craft Fair.

Join us for this great holiday tradition as Santa arrives to light the community Christmas Tree, choirs fill the air with the sounds of the Season and lights begin to twinkle all around. You’ll never know what kind of holiday surprise you might find, such as the crowd favorite Snow sledding hill! It’s a great time for friends and family to gather and kick-off the holiday season with free Santa visits, festive crafts, activities and more. You’ll be jingling all the way home!
Due to health and weather conditions, some activities and guidelines at this event may be changed or canceled. Be sure to check back here or on Facebook to get the latest event information.
Limited onsite parking is available at The Link and City Hall off Matthews Drive.
Overflow parking will be available at Richland Hills Baptist Church (6852 Baker Blvd.), Mullendore Elementary (3250 Scruggs Park Dr.) and Baker Blvd Church of Christ (7139 Baker Blvd). Free shuttle service is available from all locations. Please wait at the shuttle stop sign at each location.
Reserved Parent Parking: If your little angel is performing at the event, there is reserved parent parking at Centro Cristiano Betel (6600 Baker Blvd.). Reserved parking for parents of children managing a booth at the Children’s Entrepreneur Market is located at OES Equipment (6525 Baker Blvd). This is only for parents of performers or entrepreneurs at the event and by permit only. Be sure to show your Reserved Parking Permit from your performance director or coordinator in printed or digital form. A shuttle will be available, or it is an easy half-block walk to The Link.
Matthews Drive will be Southbound only during the event.
Street parking will be closed on the following blocks during the event:
3100 and 3200 blocks of Matthews Drive
6700 and 6800 blocks of Park Place Drive
6700 and 6800 blocks of Pecan Drive
Look for the special North Pole Express mailbox. Bring your letter to Santa from home, download one here (PDF) or find copies on site, but be sure you get your message to the big man early
I Can Still Shine is a Richland Hills organization that helps women and children start over after leaving abusive homes. Learn more about the organization by visiting their website.
I Can Still Shine has more than 50 teen aged boys and girls that are in need this Christmas. They are asking for Walmart gift certificates in increments of $25 and $50 to allow these teens to choose their own gifts. Pick a tag off our Angel Tree located inside The Link and return with a gift card by Monday, December 9.
The Annual Holiday Craft Fair will be hosted by Furever Buddy Inc. in conjunction with the Christmas Tree Lighting Event in the Fire Station Bays. It’s a great time to find unique gifts for the holidays!
If you would like to be a vendor, please complete this interest form. A Craft Fair representative will respond to you.
The vendor fee of $35, payable to Furever Buddy Inc., benefits the Richland Hills Animal Services and is due upon your acceptance as a vendor. Payment may be made at the Richland Hills Animal Shelter customer service desk, via phone or online.
10-by-10-foot spaces are provided. Vendors may purchase multiple spaces. Vendors are responsible for providing tables and any other necessary display items. Carts or wagons are encouraged to transport products from parking area to booth location.
Spaces are limited and will be accepted on a first come basis.
