I think the box is in the attic It’s marked as “Xmas lights” Cup of cocoa and a ladder And Christmas starts tonight. Let’s put up the lights a little early this year Put up the lights start bringing the cheer Put up the lights Put up the lights Put up the lights and it’s here .I’ll get these things untangled They’ll be so shiny and bright If not we’ll just use candles Cause Christmas starts tonight …

Dan Ashley shared his memories of the special time of year stating, “Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. With my parents and my three siblings, we always went to pick out the family tree right after Thanksgiving from a lot not far from the house, take it home and decorate it that night. That began the countdown to Christmas morning, and my sister, two brothers and I could hardly contain ourselves! I sang in the junior choir as a kid, and the music of Christmas was always the most fun for me to sing which is why I wanted to share this song with you.” Stay current with everything Dan Ashley on his website.
