I thought you might want to know October 26th is National Pit Bull Awareness Day #PitBullAwarenessDay. If Charlie and I were #Homeschooling fun we would study Pit Bulls today. Even though Charlie has finished school that doesn’t mean learning should stop.
If Charlie had felt better today I would have taken us to our local Animal Shelter to volunteer to walk the Dogs. With Charlie not feeling well I thought we would just watch a movie, I found Beyond the Myth: A Film About Pit Bulls and Breed Discrimination (2010). I would have David stop by Half Price Books to pick up books about Pit Bulls for us to read this evening.
I also plan on asking David to pick up the ingredients for Sugar Cookies because I found a Pitbull Cookie Cutter and Dog Treat Cutter – Dog Face which we can use for the Cookies and Sandwiches and I also plan on making Puppy Chow Mix (Trail Mix) for us to have during our movie.

Note from the artist: As a pet loss counselor for many years, I have had the joy and pain of helping pet owners deal with grief over the passing of their pets through counseling as well as through the pet portraits I draw. Each year through my Big Black Dog Studio, I get to help animal rescue groups with creative fundraisers by drawing pictures of dogs in need of good homes.
During 2020 when local animal rescue groups were unable to hold adoption events, I drew portraits of pets of my studio’s Instagram followers.
