NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 10, 2024) — Country music rising star Emily Ann Roberts has released the music video for the acoustic version of her hit “When I’m Gone,” from the deluxe edition of her debut album Can’t Hide Country. Watch the emotional video here.

Featuring just her acoustic guitar and captivating voice, Roberts’ stripped-down performance brings the raw emotion of the song to life. Filmed with cinematic precision in a single take, the video draws viewers into an intimate, reflective experience. Every chord and glance tells a story that resonates deeply—a shared journey about love, legacy, and the memories we leave behind.

“I went to a family members funeral and walked away realizing all the things I spent most of my time and energy on are things that are never discussed at the end of someone’s life. There was no talk of his job, big promotions, how well he climbed the ladder, or how ‘successful’ he was. Instead they spoke of the way he was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. They talked about his faith in Christ and the way he shared HIS love to everyone he met,” said Emily Ann Roberts. She added, “the past 8 years of pursuing this dream have taken so much of my time and attention. I do believe God put me on this path, but leaving that funeral showed me my priorities have been so out of line. My success or failure in this industry will never be the measure of my days.. so why would I live like life depends on it? I’m so thankful to Autumn McEntire for writing this with me and helping me put into words exactly how I felt. I hope this song puts some things into perspective in your life too.”

When I’m gone, will they care
How much money that I’ve made
Will my success or failure
Be the measure of my days
Or was my love all that mattered all along?
What will they say about me when I’m gone?
