In the past from #Homeschooling Charlie full time I know a lot of parents are as well. I thought I would share a fun #Holiday that falls on September 21th allowing us to celebrate Miniature Golf Day #MiniatureGolfDay.

If your Homeschooling taking your children to play Miniature Golf allows you to go on a Field Trip do a different exercise in #PE. Math Class as the kids count up points they can work on there Social Skills and teamwork as most people play alongside each other and sometime they form teams.

What is Miniature Golf:

Miniature golf (also known as minigolfputt-puttcrazy golf, and by several other names) is an offshoot of the sport of golf focusing solely on the putting aspect of its parent game. The aim of the game is to score the lowest number of points. It is played on courses consisting of a series of holes (usually a multiple of 9) similar to those of its parent, but the courses are characterized by their short length (usually within 10 metres from tee to cup).

The game uses artificial putting surfaces (such as carpet, artificial turf, or concrete), a geometric layout often requiring non-traditional putting lines such as bank shots, and artificial obstacles such as tunnels, tubes, ramps, moving obstacles like windmills, and walls made of concrete, metal, or fiberglass. Reading:

Charlie will be reading MINIATURE GOLF FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS AND EXPERTS: LEARN GAME IN 2 WEEKS, PLAY LIKE A PRO AND GET ALL 18HOLES IN THE COURSE USING TIPS AND STRATEGIES and Instructions on building a miniature golf course for 30 minutes a day and writing 2 facts a day he learns from his reading inside his Reading Journal.

On Friday you will turn the facts into a report you will be reading out loud to your parents include a photo and illustrations for your report and add them to your Reading Journal.

Math Class:

Look up facts based on Miniature Golf and turn them into 5 math problems for someone in your home to work out.

Then have them create 5 math problems for you to work out.

Write the Math problems inside your Math Journal.

Drama:

Watch movies or visit local Miniature Golf Courses and act out things you learn and share your thoughts in your Drama Journal and include a picture of you in a vintage golf outfit.

Write a description of your experiences inside your Drama Journal and include a photo of yourself dressed up.

Host a Crazy Zock Day and everyone has to wear golf themed socks.

Music Class:

Look up songs based on Golf or watch movies about Golf and put on a show for your parents.

Make sure you dress up and invite them to dress up as Golfers as well.

Write a description of your performance in your Music Journal and include a photo of everyone dressed up.

Art Class:

Use the information you collected in your studies and create a Art piece using different mediums of Art and include a description in your Art piece inside your Art Journal.

Your Art work will be displayed in a Art Show at the end of the year.

Cooking Class:
