I thought I would share a new #homeschool resource with you that falls on September 14th. The new resource celebrates another #Holiday and it is National Coloring Day #ColoringDay. If Charlie were still homeschooling full time Charlie and I would have celebrated National Coloring Day in our Homeschool Class for our Art Class.
Did you know one of my mom’s favorite things to do was color. To honor my mom’s memory this morning I think I will purchase new coloring books for Charlie, David. Mykalia and I along with Crayons only Charlie will want map colors and I liked the Twisted Crayons from Crayola. What do you like to use to color with and why?
For me I think I will either get a Donald Duck coloring book or Winnie The Pooh, for David he would like Gnomes or Dragons. For Charlie I will look for a adult coloring book featuring animals and before you ask what about Mykala I’m not sure what to get her. Do you have any ideas?
Now, I have a question for you. Do you see the world through rose-colored glasses? If so, National Coloring Day, an annual event held every September 14th, is right for you! National Coloring Day is follows behind National Coloring Book Day in August. Did you know that?
National Coloring Day expands the experience into lots of artsy mediums. As a stress-reducer, coloring isn’t just for kids anymore. Just visit your local Hobby Stores and look at all the adult coloring books out on the market.
Whether it’s been decades or merely days, National Coloring Day is all about setting aside some time for ourselves to color. You should take the opportunity today to get creative with paper and crayons, colored pencils or markers. Or you could try oil pastels and paint because on National Coloring Day, you should let your imagination fly into a colorful world and brighten up your day!
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
