Morning At The Farm with My. Bojangles Illustrated by Helen Smith

The Mommies Reviews

I wanted to share a new children’s board book with you which is called Morning At The Farm with My. Bojangles by 7 Cats Press (Creator),  Helen Smith (Illustrator). I received a copy of the book in exchange for this review.

Charlie and I both love Cats and we couldn’t wait to share this board book with my nieces and nephews as the book is for toddlers and up. I wish you could see the Cat on the cover of the book which I wish was mine. Then there is a tractor that would be fun to ride. Charlie out the Hens, Chicks and Sheep along with a blue Bird on the fence.

Mr. Bojangles is woken up and reminded to take his walk around the farm to greet all the farm animals with a smile and a song. If we were Homeschooling full time Charlie and I could have used this book in our Art Class, Reading Class and even our Music Class then share the book with our friends and family.

First we meet Cow and Mr. Bojangles sings E-I-E-I-O-U. We learn what a Cow sings Charlie and I can practice. Then it’s off to see the Rooster who is eating. Mr. Bojangles is still singing and we learn what the Rooster says. up next is the Goat. Then it’s off to see the Sheep. Now it’s time to see the Chickens in the Hen house.

Last not least we see Dog who is eating his breakfast on the porch. Finally we get to the Pond and see the Ducks and her babies. I sure wish I could go inside the Pond to swim. Would you like to come with me? Then it’s time to check out the Horse who is eating hay. Now, come and join us as we sing along.

Morning At The Farm with My. Bojangles is a board book that is easy to wipe off if the book gets dirty. There is tabs that makes opening the book up easy for little children. Children from 8 and up should be able to read the book on there own. Here is a fun fact for you. The real Mr. Bojangles lives on the farm at Gibbs Smith. Wouldn’t you like to go visit Mr. Bojangles because I would like to.

About the book:

Have a blast exploring the farm with Mr. Bojangles, an adorable Cat who sings his own silly version of that famous E-I-E-I-O song as he visits his animal friends.

“An emissary for farm life comes in a sweet feline package, or is it just a cute and cuddly guide to what goes on in a farm settling?….Mr. Bojangles is a charming new friend and so are his farmyard pals.”―School Library Journal

Mr. Bojangles will show you around the farm and introduce you to all of his favorite animals. As he walks, he sings. Mr. Bojangles had a farm E-I-E-I-O…

Mr. Bojangles is based on one of the seven beloved barn Cats who live at the Gibbs Smith office and inspired the name of the 7 Cats Press imprint.
