The first step we are asked to lay the tray down on our lap with the curved side facing you. Then you unfold the left and right storage folds and let them hang down. Fasten the Velcro end of the left tray wall to the left Velcro and the back of the tray wall. Then you do the right side the same way. I love how there is space to keep the kids toys organized. Thee is a dry erase top for the kids to draw on and wipe off for lots and lots of art lessons.
