The Waiting Room reminded me not only of some of my favorite movies but television shows through a quick read of friendship, mystery’s and so much more. Don’t worry you will need tissues at times or at least I did. This is book should be on Opray’s must read list and its perfect Girlfriends to share over a cup of Coffee or Tea.
Marianne, Alison and Bella met for the first time in The Waiting Room where they all have gone for their mammograms. None of them knew each other and on a whim, Alison introduced herself to the other ladies. After there doctors appointment all three ladies leave and have a drink together. Which begun a lifetime of friendship between them.
One Friday night out Alison’s roommate shows up at and was approached by a male patron of the bar. Susan angered the man by her rude treatment of his wish to get to know her better. Because of this Susan became a murder victim as she was killed that same night. From that point on, the three met often and share advice and problems in their lives as well as the input and protection of each other.
The case of Susan’s death went cold but they got the ladies was able to bring it to the front again as they went on with their lives. The friendship deepened throughout the years as we share special moments between the women, but things take a twist when Marianne finds out she has Cancer. Which none of us want to see our friends face.
The Waiting Room brings these three women who were from very different backgrounds and would never have met and become friends if not for that day in the doctors office reminding me if were kind and open to new people we can meet people no, matter where or what were doing that may become a part of our lives. I like how the Author had the ladies share both the good and bad that in life. Be prepared because this books shows us how friendships ca survive time, distance, and circumstances that happen in our lives.
About the book:
The Waiting Room is a delightful romp with three women who meet in the waiting room of a doctor’s office and grow to become life-long friends.
After Allison’s roommate goes missing and later is found dead, the man they identify as a suspect stirs up trouble for them.
Fortunately, life has its way of making things right, and so it was left to the three women to see things through to the end and correct a wrong.
Years later, when the friends gather, they realize the waiting room they’re now in is actually the space between here and there – a timeless space where you choose how to live your remaining years.
Humorous, honest, and tender, The Waiting Room will steal your heart and hold it captive long after you finish turning the last page. It’s a book worth sharing with others, especially with those you love.
