I thought I would share another romance novel called Mr Ricci (Italian Billionaires Book 1): An age gap single dad billionaire romance by Cate Connor (Author) that I received a PDF copy of Voracious Readers in exchange for this review. I would like to let you know inside this story Mr Ricci (Italian Billionaires Book 1) is part of a series and in this story you will see it features the quick holiday romance of Sophia (a London girl who is on vacation before starting her job as a lawyer). With a girlfriend who takes off with a guy. Sophia meets Matteo a older rich single dad from Italy.
Sophia” and Mateo’s relationship started fast with neither expecting it to move beyond the holiday vacation but both soon realized they had true feelings for each other. Through the story we see Sophia struggle with coming into her own and doing what she wants to do with her life or do what her parents expect of her.
Matteo is instantly pulled towards Sophia when he sees her, but Sophia’s wall up she pushes Mateo away, only to slowly let the walls come down when she finds herself being harassed. I enjoyed the struggle Sophia was fighting internally which I wish I had been there to give her advice but spending time with Matteo opened Sophia’s eyes but also had her second guessing everything. Like most books I read there was a lot of twists and turns.
At times the book was a little slow but it shouldn’t stop you from reading the book because at times I felt like I was in Rome with the characters. For those of us that don’t care for SEX scenes in books there is some intimate scenes which has kept me from sharing this story with my friends and family.
