April 13 Scrabble Day #ScrabbleDay is the perfect resource for Families Homeschooling like mine is. You can have the children play Scrabble not only in there spelling classes but also in Math Class as they add up everyone’s scores. Would you like to join Charlie and I as we play a couple of games of Scrabble this afternoon and before you ask no, David isn’t going to play because he has trouble spelling but it would let him practice so we may let him play one game with us.
I’m sure you know why we celebrate National Scrabble Day which gives us the opportunity to celebrate the popular board game Scrabble. Scrabble has been popular around the world ever since and I would like to let you know people young and old enjoy playing Scrabble What better time to play Scrabble than today?
Scrabble was created in 1938 by Alfred Mosher Butts and the game was sold by Hasbro, Inc. For additional lessons in our Homeschool Classes today Charlie is going to study Alfred Mosher Butts and see if he has invented anything else. Then study Hasbro and find a Scrabble Game we don’t have Charlie would like to get. Would you like to join us in our studies?
Let’s Celebrate National Scrabble Day:
- Invite your friends and family over today to play a couple games of Scrabble
- If you do not have Scrabble then you should celebrate by going shopping and purchase a Scrabble game or two.
History and Origin of National Scrabble Day
Here is a funny fact about Scrabble Day through our research we did not find the creator or the origin of Scrabble Day but that shouldn’t stop you from celebrating a game that will bring your friends and family together. We discovered why today might be called Scrabble Day and its because April 13th is the birthday of Alfred Butts, the inventor Scrabble.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
