I finished reading a book this morning I wanted to share with you. The Sisters is a romance, with mystery thrown in to bring us electrifying danger with every turn of the page, “The Sisters” introduces Ava Cressman, a young woman fresh out of a marriage and trying to move forward with her life. She and her ex-husband, Spencer, remain on good terms but Ava knows she has to find someone new. Ava meets Joel and they fall in love. But all is not as it seems, Joel does not feel the same, despite his caring words and actions,
I would like to let you know the first one hundred pages move fairly quickly as we learn about Ava and Josh the new man in her life after her divorce, Joel is handsome and has all the “right” characteristics for the perfect love story but don’t count on that being what happens in this story which will keep you asking what next.
The second half of this story has the character Ava, her twin and her mom in a perilous situation caused by her older sister Tanya. Ava also fails to see that Tanya, her eldest sister, is not a loyal faithful sibling. When she invites both Ava and twin Bella to go on holiday, alarm bells should have rang. You something had already happened in the past and it should have made Ava wary.
The sisters go off together, and, this is where the author cleverly turns the events into something I didn’t see coming. From that point onwards it’s a roller coaster of a ride and a psychological shocker. All I can say is poor Ava. Be prepared because one of the characters gives the plot away early on which made finishing the book hard to do but that shouldn’t stop you from checking out the story.
About the book:
In a web of deceit, escape is just the beginning.
Ava Cressman’s life takes a twisted turn after her divorce from Spencer. Seeking comfort, she falls into the arms of a mysterious man named Joel Carney, a former college acquaintance. However, when Joel meets Ava’s sister, Tanya, an unsettling connection sparks between them.
Tanya, seemingly innocent, invites Ava and her twin sister, Belle, on a secluded trip to a remote lodge. From the moment they arrive, an ominous atmosphere hangs in the air, hinting at a hidden darkness beneath the surface.
As shocking truths emerge, will Ava find a way to expose the tangled labyrinth of secrets before it’s too late?
The Sisters is a gripping psychological thriller that delves into the depths of manipulation, betrayal, and the darkest corners of the human mind. As Ava fights for her freedom and tries to untangle the lies, she also must face her own demons and find the strength to outsmart those who want to control her life.
