The Mommies Reviews

My family was running errands so much yesterday and doing Honey-Do’s for David’s mom Sherry yesterday that Charlie and I didn’t have the opportunity to celebrate #NationalOreoDay with today being March 7 National Cereal Day #NationalCerealDay you can bet your bottom day I plan on having a bowl of Cereal either by myself or with my family this evening. I would like to invite you to come and join us.

We have Reese’s Pieces Cereal. which is Charlie’s Cereal, Fruity Pebbles and also Chocolate Fruity Pebbles. Rich Krispies and Cheerio’s we would be happy to share with you. Unless you prefer a different cereal and I would be happy to pick it up. For Milk we have Vitamin D because they was out of 2% Percent but if you want something else let me know.

We all know there isn’t a person alive who doesn’t want a bowl of Cereal. Then all they need with it is a spoon and Milk. Fiber, Sugar, Raisins, or Lucky Charms the flavors and prizes each box of Cereal holds are limitless and can add to any humdrum morning. Let’s snap, crackle and pop through all the reasons why National Cereal Day on March 7 should be in your day planner.

NATIONAL CEREAL DAY ACTIVITIES

  1. There is so many varieties of Cereal today is the day to have Cereal for every meal start with some Fiber One. For lunch, live a little and have a Lucky Charms because they are magically delicious. When dinner rolls around, go a little crazy and mix Cornflakes with Frosted Flakes although I don’t mix my Cereal but David will and at times I think Charlie has. Do you do this? Then for dessert have a Rice Krispy Treat.
  2. Today is the perfect day to try a new Cereal or two or three you’ve never had before. Did you know there is over a hundred Cereals to choose from?
  3. Make someone smile today and purchase one or two Cereal fun packs and hand them out to co-workers, friends or any mailmen or Jehovah witnesses that come to your door, put a post it note with a message or smiley face on the boxes.

FACTS ABOUT CEREAL

  1. Cereal is for everyone, everywhere because Cereal is a staple crop, and its grains are grown in greater quantities and provide more food energy worldwide than any other type of crop.
  2. The first prize was a book In 1909, The Funny Jungleland Moving Pictures Book came with the purchase of two packages of Corn Flakes.
  3. The word Cereal is derived from Ceres, the Roman goddess of harvest and agriculture.
  4. Astronauts ate Kellogg’s Corn Flakes aboard Apollo 11, which was the first moon landing.

WHY PEOPLE LOVE NATIONAL CEREAL DAY

  1. Cereal isn’t just for breakfast it5 can be a lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, or a middle of the night treat, or, if you get all fancy with Cereal, it can be turned into a delicious dessert.
  2. We can’t all make Turducken not that we would want to but when you put together a bowl of Cereal, you get the opportunity to put on a chef’s hat and you get to work out just the right Cereal to Milk ratio, and add Fruit or Nuts, feeling like the Julia Child of Cinnamon Toast Crunch without burning down your kitchen.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
