Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book: Match-Ups, Word Puzzles, Quizzes, Mazes, Projects, Secret Codes + Lots More (Review)

The Mommies Reviews

I would like to share a children’s activity book with you called Julia Rothman’s Ocean Anatomy Activity Book: Match-Ups, Word Puzzles, Quizzes, Mazes, Projects Secret Codes + Lots More I received a copy of this activity journal in exchange for this review. Inside this post are my affiliate links if you click on the links and make a purchase I will make a small percentage from the items you purchase.

I was excited to find out this book was created for curious kids because I don’t know about your children but my son can be curious and if you want to know the truth so can David and I. How about you? Charlie and I will be studying Oceans this year in our Homeschool Classes and we will be using this workbook to supplement our work.

Charlie and I liked the cover of the book which is blue and has a rough texture but yet soft. Charlie though the Crab sitting on the pencil would make a wonderful pet. No, not I. There is a border around the picture that tells us what to expect to find in the book which can be used as spelling words in our Homeschool Spelling Class.

Make sure the children have pencils before they open the book so they can get write to work. I like how at the beginning of the book she gives us a list of things we can find inside the book which we can turn into a scavenger hunt. For supplies the next time we use the book I will have a ruler on hand even though there is one in the book so Charlie can practice reading and measuring the animals.

For Science class Charlie and I will be making Kinetic Sand which is also cooking for our Homeschool Cooking Class and in art class we can create figures with the kinetic sand. Would you like to join us? Inside the book are art lessons as we learn to draw animals. Then we can write a secret message using the secret code provided.

The book touches on the Ecosystem which we can use when we study it in detail. You will have the opportunity to graph in the book which is a math class. If your able to you should take a Field Trip to the Beach and look for the shells the Author mentions in the book. For us there isn’t a Beach close by so we might need to go on a Road Trip. Would you like to come with us?

There is so much more to do inside the book but I didn’t want to tell you everything because you need to pick up a copy of the book to share with your family. Upper Elementary Students through adults will enjoy all of the activates and if they get stuck there is a answer key in the back of the book which Charlie and I didn’t need.
