The Mommies Reviews

I thought I would let you know January 24th is National Peanut Butter Day #nationalpeanutbutterday. I don’t know about you but Peanut Butter is my go to snack at night before bed I like to have a fold over Peanut Butter Sandwich and most nights I should make a whole sandwich because the dogs like to share my sandwich with me and its okay because Peanut Buter will not hurt them.

Marcellus Gilmore Edson first patented Peanut Butter in 1884, but I bet you he probably didn’t realize Peanut Butter would become a taste that would sweep the nation. Whether you go crunchy or smooth, on January 24th we put down our cell phones and pick up our knives to celebrate National Peanut Butter Day.

NATIONAL PEANUT BUTTER DAY ACTIVITIES

  1. Peanut Butter is the perfect food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. See if you can eat Peanut Butter for every meal. For breakfast you could have Peanut Butter on Toast. For lunch why not try Panut Butter based dressing on a Salad. Dinner could be Thai Peanut Curry. Don’t forget Ppeanut Butter Cookies for dessert.
  2. Invite your friends or family over and host a Peanut Butter tasting party because we all know there are parties for Pizza, but why not have the food you had growing up?
  3. Gifts are always good, but surprising gifts on unexpected occasions are even better! If Peanut Butter is one of his or her favorite foods, surprise them with a gift that says you noticed!

WHY PEOPLE LOVE NATIONAL PEANUT BUTTER DAY

  1. Peanut Butter is perfect for all occasions because it is versatile. You can spread Peanut Butter on foods, baking with Peanut Butter or mix Peanut Butter with Noodles, coat meat with Peanut Butter or turning Peanut Butter into a delicious sauce. The options are endless.
  2. Peanut Butter Can Help You Stay on Your Diet. Even though Peanut Butter has a good amount of fat in it, it’s also a very filling. Peanut Butter keeps dieters fuller for longer, helping them resist the urge to snack. Researchers at Harvard and Brigham and Women’s Hospital found in a study that people eating moderate-fat items, like Peanut Butter, were able to stay on a diet longer and keep weight off for a longer period of time than those who ate a low-fat diet.
  3. Each time you eat a PB&J for lunch instead of red meat, like a Hamburger or a Ham sandwich, you’re shrinking your carbon footprint by almost 3.5 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions. You’ll also save 133 gallons of water and 24 square feet of land per Peanut Butter and Jelly lunch.
