Explosive Chemistry: a fae paranormal romance (Liliana and the Fae of Fayetteville Book 2 uses the word Spider a lot because the people are like Spiders, I wasn’t sure I would be able to read and finish the book then sleep afterwards because after being bite on the face twice by Spiders they terrify me.

Once I began reading the book I was able to get through the story and wouldn’t mind reading the next book in the series which may include adult romance tropes and scenes. Now I would like to let you know a better person for this genre of book would be David who loves Sci-Fi and Urban Fantasy. I believe Charlie would as well if he would sit down and read.

I would suggest to David and Charlie that they should start with the first book because I did get lost a couple times while reading this book but I did push through and finish the story. I enjoyed Liliana and how she has gone from being a hermit to collecting a diverse collection of friends who are loyal, brave and protective

After years of socially isolating herself, Liliana realizes that she likes having friends. Unfortunately, the people she just befriended live dangerous lives, and Liliana foresees their deaths in the near future. Using her spider seer abilities, Liliana needs to figure out how to keep her new friends alive and safe, even if it may require her to risk her own life in the process. The book does say its a romance and yes, there is one but it isn’t developed fully and at times you will even forget there is a romance in the story which for the guys would be okay but not me.

As a spider-kin seer, Liliana’s eyes can see the future. What she didn’t see was her visions leading her out of her voluntary seclusion and into the lives of the first friends she’s had in decades. Friends Liliana just rescued from the deadly venom of widow spiders.

Determined to keep the warmth of belonging and stay out of her shell, she looks into the future again and sees death. Her friends Pete the red wolf, Siobhan the fairy sprite, and Nudd the goblin doctor will all die soon—if she doesn’t take steps to nudge the future and discover who was behind the widow spiders.

Except saving her friends will tie Liliana even closer to the handsome and dangerous Unseelie prince Colonel Bennett, and her heart may not come out of that battle unscathed.

About the Author: Paige E. Ewing

Paige writes about superheroes and sentient cities, were-spiders and gun-loving fairies, werewolves and fighter pilots. For a living, she gives speeches and writes about big data analysis and data engineering architectures, a subject which also doubles as a sleep aid for many. For fun, she shoots arrows, and throws axes at people and things.

Years ago, she lived, briefly, in Kotebue, Alaska, but now lives in the middle of nowhere, Texas, and will show you far too many pictures of her garden if you let her. She once invented a way to grow food on Mars that NASA liked, and has a cute trophy to show for it. Her dogs and horses are unimpressed.
