With the holidays on the horizon, I wanted to pass on a book series that’s perfect for gift roundups: My Recordable Storytime, where every story has a familiar voice! You will find the books inside our Christmas Gift Guide 23: WELCOME LITTLE ONE. My family received a physical copy of the book in exchange for this review.
I wish you could see the book sitting on my desk. The cover is done in blues and greens with the word welcome in bright colors that makes the book pop. I love that there is two Elephants on the cover a big Elephant and a baby I would like to have as a pet. Wouldn’t you want one of the Elephants?
I liked learning this book is a love letter to us. When you open the book there is instructions on how to record your message. Charlie and I went over the instructions so we can record our message which for my niece and nephew. The author created a page inside the book for us to write a inscription.
I love how the book ask questions about the person who will be receiving the book including you were born on and your eye color was and other questions. The author lets the child know how loved they were on the day they were born. There is a red heart that is opened and one closed. I would add a small picture of the person getting the book as a baby and one of them now.
Then we see the Elephants and the remind us how our hearts grew bigger in size the first time we saw you. Then you need to check out the book and see what caused them joy. The story lets the child know we made a promise for them and there is a page with Monkeys on it for you to write the message on.
The author touches on the things that make our child unique. The author reminds they child we will be there to help make there dream come true. Inside the book is a page to write our wishes for you. Then we can leave our children words of wisdom. Charlie and I loved all the illustrations and the animals included in the book.
