I would like to share a new restaurant that has opened in Fort Worth, Texas, Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews. I found this restaurant through Facebook and when I was the pictures of the outside of the restaurant, I knew I wanted to take Charlie and David here for lunch. The restaurant has over 50 Brews for David and 50 Burgers for Charlie and me. What more does my family need? Nothing.
Charlie stayed home the other day so my sister Debbie, David and I went out for lunch. I loved walking into the restaurant and seeing there was stairs leading to a porch as well as a wheelchair ramp which is easier for me to use at times. Inside the door is a bench so we could wait for David while he checks out the store. Let me tell Yu I found several T Shirts and signs I would like to purchase for Christmas. Gifts.
The hostess greeted us and led us to a booth. We walked by the bag which was pretty big. There were TVs to watch but I was listening to the music and more intrigued by the car/ truck on the roof. I could have just walked around for an hour looking at all of the decorations. The waitress came and took our drink orders. It would have taken David forever to choose which Brew ie Beer he wanted so I asked them to surprise. David.
We signed up for their rewards program while the waiter let us know which dishes, he liked. As well as telling us about the two Happy Hours they have which we plan on coming back for and yes, we will bring Charlie. The menu has a lot to offer but it wasn’t overpowering, and they had a lot of dishes Charlie would have liked which is a Godsend because he is so picky.
We all ate off the lunch menu and was able to pick out something different each of us liked. Next time I want to try the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. There is no, substitutions on the lunch menu which was fine with us because we all like Fry’s a lot. I know I shouldn’t eat them but there so good I couldn’t help myself.
I asked if they would be able to make me a Cherry Dr. Pepper because I wanted a Hamburger, but the Milkshakes sounded amazing, and you can add Liquor to them. They had flavors like Oreo®. My sister ordered a Cherry Coke. Our Sodas were included in our lunch special. Which was so nice to find out.
I had the Garage Burger which is an Ole Fashioned Hamburger minus there Sauce. The Hamburger was big enough to share. The meat was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of Cheese and Vegetables. I liked the Hamburger Bun a lot. I had Fries and asked for no Sea Salt. There was enough to bring. home.
David had Chicken Strips with French Fries and Rand for dipping. The Chicken Strips breading was tasty. The Chicken Strips weren’t too hard. David also liked his French Fries a lot. I was upset though when David asked for an extra Ranch for his Chicken Strips and was told it would be a $1.00. Come on man where in Texas one cup of Ranch for 3 Chicken Strips and Frieds isn’t enough.
Debbie ordered the Melted ham and Cheese Sandwich on Texas Toast with French Fries. She left the Sea Salt on her Fries which wasn’t overpowering but gave them a nice kick. The Ham had a nice Cheese, and the Melted Cheese was so tasty. But I would have been happy just having the Texas Toast with nothing on it.
For those of us that prefer Dinners they do offer Meat Loaf and Salads which I can’t wait to come back and try. The Kids Meals come with a drink. More than that though I want to come back and try the dessert as soon as possible. Would you like to come with me for lunch? We can leave all the kids and husbands at home and have a girl’s day out.
