I would like to share Fun STEM Books for Kids from Nat Geo Kids which I will be receiving to review. The first book I would like to share with you is How to Survive in the Age of Dinosaurs: by Stephanie Warren Drimmer. A handy guide to dodging deadly predators, riding out mega-monsoons, and escaping other perils of the prehistoric By Stepanie Warren Drimmer.
Before I share my thoughts on the book with you, I wanted to share a fun fact about the Author with you. She enjoys writing children’s books because she thinks she is still a child. Just like I think I am. Do you also think you’re a child as well? Then I would like to know how do you keep the child in yourself alive?
Now to my thoughts on How to Survive in the Age of Dinosaurs which I was excited to find out the book is from National Geographic Kids. I loved the yellow diamond on the cover that makes the dinosaurs pop out. Charlie was surprised to see how big his head was and how many teeth he had. Watch your fingers.
If you see the book laying on a coffee table, you might think it’s a hard back book, but it isn’t its more of a paper b ack book. It’s a nice size book that would fit into a book bag. I like how it’s not to flimsy so it will not tear up and the pages will not fall out. Charlie said even little kids would be able to hold this book while their parents are reading to them.
How to Survive in the Age of Dinosaurs (April 11, 2023; ISBN: 978-1-4263-7282-7; ages 8-12; $9.99 U.S./$12.99 CAN) gives adventurous kids the chance to test their chops against the forces of nature and the rulers of prehistoric Earth. An authentic time-travel tour through the Age of Dinosaurs—and its dangers.
Through the book you will find you’ve traveled back into time which will be fun studying in our Homeschool History Class. Would you like to join us? Charlie loved having the time travel breakdown and telling me things about each time period. Making Charlie the teacher for the day which was fun You should join us in class when Charlie is the teacher because you might find yourself rolling on the floor from what all Charlie has to say or do.
You and your children could even go on adventures to track Dinosaurs and make sure you bring this book along to know what to do or some of the tools you might find or need to make. You might want to bring snacks otherwise you might have to eat Bugs and if that is the case I will starve. How about you?
The Author mentions Volcanoes which can be another lesson for Charlie and I to study. Tobad we couldn’t go on a Field Trip to Hawaii. Charlie was amazed to find out asteroids was mentioned in the book. Now, its your turn to pick up a cope of the book and come share with us what you liked the most.
Before you say oh I don’t like to read this is almost like a comic book and wouldn’t have to be read all at once. Adults and children of all ages will enjoy the story and learn from it. In the back of the book is a glossary. Charlie and I can use the words in it for our Homeschool Spelling Test. Come join us and lets study Dinosaurs this week and make sure you pick up your copy of the book from Amazon or your local library.
