Meet Billy Balloon, which will become your family’s new favorite children’s book character! My family was able to check Billy Balloon our firsthand in the new children’s book Billy Balloon which I received a physical copy of in exchange for this review.
Charlie and I loved looking at the cover of the book and seeing the bright red balloon. I also like learning a new word adoshable. What do you think adoshable means and why? Did you see the Owl on the cover of the book? N ow that the Balloon seems to be free how far do you think it will go? Do you think someone will find the balloon and if so what will they do with the balloon?
Did you see all the different color balloons the workers in the factory are creating for the race? Do you want a red one or one of the other colors? Charlie says he will take red. I would like to have green, and David said he would take a blue balloon which leaves my sister with yellow. Then we would know how has which balloon.
Charlie and I’ve decided to search for our own Pen pal from a different Country which Charlie can study in his Homeschool Language Arts Class thanks to Billy Balloon and the Author of the book. Would you like to help us find a pen pal then you could get one for yourself as well? Make sure you practice your handwriting and spelling so when you sign a card or write a letter the recipient can read what you wrote.
Oh no, can you guess who is winning and what is happening to Billy Balloon? Well, I could tell you but instead I want you to go and pick up your own copy of the book to share not only with the children in your lives but teachers as well. This book is for children 3 to 5 but I believe children of all ages and even adults will enjoy the story just as my family did.
Now, before you say I don’t have Bill Balloon so I can’t participate in the pen pal hunt. Yes, you can just go to your local store and purchase a balloon in your favorite color. Write your name on a card and send it high up into the air. Giving Charlie and I a Homeschool Field Trip which your welcome to join us on as we plan on visiting a park to launch our balloon from.

Press Release:
The debut title in the new series, Billy Balloon [978-1-6624-6918-3 (paperback, $14.95); 978-1-6624-6920-6 (hardcover, $24.95); Page Publishing; March 2023], by author Jack Payton will inspire curiosity for both parents and young readers alike.
Billy Balloon was born in a little balloon factory on a little hill with hundreds of his brothers, sisters, and friends. The balloons are getting ready for the Great Balloon Race, which takes place on the first Sunny day of spring. The kids at school write cards to attach to their balloons, with hopes the note is discovered by another child who would become a penpal. The balloon which travels the furthest–as well as the note that receives a response from another kid–will be declared the winner!
Payton, now a father himself, created Billy Balloon when he was in the fourth grade for a class assignment. “The story stayed with me ever since,” he said. “I’d revisit it and think about publishing it, but it never went very far. During the Pandemic, I started to think of Billy again. With the help and support of my family, I was ready to launch this book into the world.”
Through the Billy Balloon website, families and readers of all ages are invited to submit ideas for future books and storylines in the series. If your idea is selected by Payton, you will be compensated with a percentage of royalties earned from the profits of that book.
“It’s an invitation to readers to co-author additional books in the series, which makes it unique and special,” Payton said. “Imagine Curious George or Thomas the Train, but instead of all the books being written by the same author, the books in my series will be co-authored by me and readers from around the world.”
