Welcome to Preschool

Children's Book Reviews

I wanted to share a new children’s book with you. Welcome to Preschool by Maria Carluccio. I received a copy of in exchange for this review. Welcome to Preschool is also from Chronicle Books.

My niece Lily should begin Preschool this year. I can’t wait to share Welcome to Preschool with her mom my niece Alex so she can pick up a copy of this book for her home. Because Charlie and I plan on keeping our copy then if any of our other friends have little ones beginning Preschool we can share the book with them. As well as use our copy in our Homeschool.

I looked through the cover and noticed you can move your characters through there day, but I didn’t tell David or Charlie because I wanted to see if they would notice this when they began to read the story. Charlie was excited to find out the characters were a Frog and Rabbit. David was excited to see the Squirrel.

I liked the pink or red roof and the house which I wouldn’t mind living in. The windows can be opened and closed and since its such a pretty day I believe I will leave the red shutters that look like bricks open. If you were in the house, would you keep the shutters opened or closed and why? Charlie and David said closed but there crazy we need the fresh air or our homes become. musty.

Make sure you take the time as your reading Welcome to Preschool to look at all of the characters ie animals. I loved the Elephant and would like to have him for a pet. Charlie said he would take the Monkey. Now you look at the book and let me know which animal you would like to have and why. The book even mentions making a mess which Charlie and I like doing when creating art. Do you make messes as well?

`You can even move around as you read the book as it says to read a book and you might have to get up and find one. Or stretch tall and reach for the sky. Then fly like a Bird which allows you to walk or run. For us this could be our Homeschool PE Class as well as help me get in my daily steps. Would you like to join us?

Then we could have music class as we look for songs to sing and instruments to play. Once you finish don’t forget to invite a friend to come and play tomorrow. I believe the Author created this book for younger children. Although, adults and children will have fun doing the things the book ask us to do.
