Grades: High School thru Adult, but younger students might enjoy this, too. Parental supervision is required.
This video created by Jonathon Jarvis is a great economic resource in understanding the credit crisis.
In my elementary years, I remember as early as second or third grade my teacher rolling in a television on a cart into the classroom and popping in a VHS tape for the class to watch. You know, those short 1950’s Educational Videos on Animals, State Resources, how to take care of your body, etc. That was over 24 years ago!!! Thanks to Jonathon Jarvis, he has created an extraordinary, short educational ONLINE video for this generation!

Jonathon notes on the site: “The goal of giving form to a complex situation like the credit crisis is to quickly supply the essence of the situation to those unfamiliar and uninitiated. This project was completed as part of my thesis work in the Media Design Program, a graduate studio at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California….”
When you get to the site, click on the play button to view, as Jonathon Jarvis describes it, “The Short and Simple Story of the Credit Crisis.” After watching the very well put video to write this review, I now have a clear understanding of the credit crisis we have and are facing in America.
Get detailed answers on:

  • What is the credit crisis?
  • Who is affected?
