Good morning, happy Monday. How was your weekend? How was Easter? Being inside you could still celebrate did you? I would like to say we celebrated Easter but we didn’t.
I worked on my sister’s site and helped her on the A to Z Challenge. Then I did a post on my website before I got done with it David got home from work.
I could have kept working but I wanted to spend time with him. David surprised Charlie and I as we was going to cook Fried Chicken in memory of my dad allowing us to celebrate his first Easter in Heaven.
But David said the Easter Bunny said he should go get Charlie a Popeye’s Sandwich as that is what he likes and Olive Garden for me. I was glad as I didn’t want to cook at all.
Once dinner was over we watched TV as a family. Charlie and I even went out for 30 minutes and played a game of Horse and before you ask me no, I didn’t win.
Then David and I watched the show Duff vs. Buddy and David went to bed. I meant to come back and work then but I was tired and just vegged on the couch while Charlie played his Game.
Then this morning I got up and its cold so I haven’t been out to walk. For the Ultimate Challenge April 2020 Day 12 we were asked about Wind and if its Windey here today and no, it isn’t.
It’s a little chilly and we had to turn on the Heater inside the house. Then I looked at the prompt and it asked us if we liked a song about Wind and I wanted to share the Wind Beneath My Wings with You.
This song reminds me of my daughter Suzzane who I miss a lot. I did get out this week and take her and my mom flowers for Easter and was able to talk to her for a bit thanks to my mother in law and daughter who went with me.
For something that takes my breath away it’s my son or my husband who have been gone all day and walks back in the house. As they still make my heart go pitter patter.
Or seeing my niece Lily and Jason or our grandson Elijah after not seeing them for a while. Or even my don Sandy when she crawls up into my lap and lays her head onto my chest.
How about you?
Thank you,
GLenda, Charlie and David Cates
It is always a nice dinner when you don’t have to cook š My wife and I like Olive Garden as well – although it has been a while since we went there. There is one a few miles away. We are a sucker for all you an eat breadsticks and salad! Mmmmm…
Happy Holidays.
