I would like to share a new show with you. The event was put on by the Dallas Children’s Theater and the show is called LAST STOP ON MARKET STREET.
Charlie, David and I will be attending the show and using it when we begin studying transportation oin our Homeschooling Class. The show tells us what happens when he visit a soup kitchen with his grandmother.
LAST STOP ON MARKET STREET will also allow me to teach Char what a Soup Kitchen is and how we can volunteer in a Soup Kitchen and use this as a Extra Curricular class.
LAST STOP ON MARKET STREET running from March 21 – April 5.
Unfamiliar with the story? very cute, and so worth the time it takes to watch!)
In summary, this is a wonderful, kindness-focused play based on the Newbery Medal award winning picture book by Matt de la Peña. It tells the story of a child on his way to visit a soup kitchen with his grandmother, and all of the people he sees along the route.
The message of the show? Well, to quote the book: “[CJ] wondered how his nana always found beautiful where he never even thought to look.” It also speaks well to the importance of volunteerism and service.
We’re proud to be able to produce a show like this and we want the world to know about it, and of course, to come see it!.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
