2nd Part of Grapevines ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT TOUR

Today I would like to bring you the second part of mine, Charlie and Davids “WALK THROUGH HISTORY AT GRAPEVINE’S 11TH ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT TOUR OF HOMES NOVEMBER 4″. Once we boarded the shovel we took off to the first home. It was so nice being with everyone on the shuttle.

You could feel the excrement and a lot of the people had been before and was excited to share tidbits with Charlie about the homes we was seeing. There was a couple small babies but no, children Charlies size. Most of the home owners was surprised to see Charlie but was impressed with the questions he would ask them. As well as all the pictures Charlie was taking.

There was a total of 8 houses and most of them was within walking distance of each other so yes, we did a lot of walking. So if you come next year make sure you have a warm jacket and comfortable shoes on. I would also suggest bringing a back pack with a bottle of water. Although the shuttles did have water on them.

As we arrived at the first home Charlie, David and I was in awe of all the work they had done and the items they had for us to see. A lot of it was antiques and they would let you touch them. We could feel the love from each owner as they talked about there homes. The craftsmanship was awesome.

Each home had something I would like to have in a home of mine in the future. I was surprised to find out some of the homes was for sale and if I had the money I would have loved purchasing one. So Lord I know you hear our needs as well as our wants. Please, allow me to have one of these homes one day. Just make sure it has a wrap around porch if possible.

David and Charlie and I was surprised that two of the homes had businesses located in them. One was a Winery which we didn’t go into as I had Charlie with me. The second one was a beauty shop and one day I plan on going back there to let them color and cut my hair. Charlie was so impressed that upstairs was a Barber Shop and he loved seeing all the items they had up there.

Unfortunately I didn’t go upstairs as there was a lot of stairs and with all the walking we was doing I was afraid my knee might go out and I wouldn’t have been able to finish the tour. I wasn’t sure how long we would be there but it took us about 2 1/2 hours to visit all 8 homes on the tour.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
