Charlie and I were discussing Christmas and Thanksgiving the other day. Charlie asked me if we could host an open house and invite our friends and family over for snacks. Hosting a Holiday/ Christmas Open House is something I’ve always wanted to do. Charlie and I begin to prepare our Menu for our Holiday Get Together we found Pork, Chestnut & Cranberry Sausage Rolls from Greedy Gourmet.  Charlie let me know he would like to prepare Pork, Chestnut & Cranberry Sausage Rolls to bring to the staff in his school.

Easy No-Bake Peanut Butter Balls Recipe

The morning they get out for the Holidays so the teachers would have a treat because they do so much for the students. I thought that was so kind t I told Charlie we would make Pork, Chestnut & Cranberry Sausage Rolls and pick up different beverages for the staff as well.

As Charlie and I continued to plan our Holiday Get Together David came in and looked through all the recipes we were thinking about making when David asked if I would create EASY LOW-CARB HAM AND DILL PICKLE APPETIZER BITES for his Christmas Party they host at the Airport.

The funny part was Charlie let David know he would make EASY LOW-CARB HAM AND DILL PICKLE APPETIZER BITES for him. I was so surprised I almost fell in the floor.  Charlie does love to cook and he has gotten better at helping us in the house.

Could it be because Santa is on his way?

Charlie and I continued working on our Menu for our Holiday Get Together. When we came upon                              PUMPKIN PIE GUMMIES. Charlie asked me if we would be able to make these for our next movie night because Charlie said they reminded him of his favorite snacks.

I let Charlie know I would help him make PUMPKIN PIE GUMMIES but I wouldn’t eat them because I don’t like Gummies. Charlie being Charlie said that’s okay dad and I will eat them all. You can just watch us. What can I say other than my son LOVES me!!

Charlie and I continued working on the menu for our Holiday Get Together. Charlie found Snowmen On A Stick and I knew these would be the perfect Gift for all the children on our Gift Giving List.

Along with my mother-in-law who is like me and loves Powdered Donuts although once Charlie and I make              Snowmen on A Stick we may not share them. If you would like them you will need to make your own.

Have your elf on the shelf surprise your kids with these snowmen on a stick for breakfast.

I hope you enjoyed these 25 KID FRIENDLY RECIPE BASED HOLIDAY SNACKS. If Charlie and I find more recipes we will be back to share them with you.

In the meantime if you know of other Kid Friendly Recipes based on the Holidays you think Charlie would enjoy please leave us a comment so we can check those recipes out as well.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates

  2. These are all such tasty little treats. They’re perfect for holiday get-togethers. I think I’ll be making those sausage rolls first.

  3. We have done this for Thanksgiving in years past. We only did dessert. I baked all kinds of pies and different treats and everyone had a wonderful time.

  4. I need to come to one of your parties LOL. You definitely have the right idea down. I will be using a couple of these over our holidays.

  5. My kids enjoy foods that are holiday themed and cute to look at! I like that they are like a snack and craft in one.

  6. These are kid friendly! I saw so many that my younger nieces and nephews would like. I am in charge of a snack, so I am sure one of these will make the list.

  7. These all look and sound so good, I’m not sure where to start. Because I think they’d be a hit with even my pickiest eater, I’d try EASY LOW-CARB HAM AND DILL PICKLE APPETIZER BITES first.
