I want to make sure Charlie’s prepared for Middle School this morning I was working on resources to help Charlie and me. I sat down to look through worksheets Charlie had brought home from school before the Holidays. A friend runs a class called 2019 Nature Book Club which is one resource we could use.
I sat down I remembered Charlie hadn’t been reading daily nor had he been working on his handwriting the way he should. Off to the computer I went to find resources we could use so Charlie could get the task done.
I was online when Thaleia Maher left me a message checking on me. As we were chatting Thaleia reminded me the 2019 Nature Book Club was beginning.
Thaleia asked me if I would like to join. I let her know I would let her know my answer in a couple days. Then I sat down to think about joining 2019 Nature Book Club.
I could hear a tiny voice in my head reminding me reading books about Nature would be a way to get Charlie more involved in reading and I could learn from the other members.
In the next day or two you will see the books Charlie and I will be reading for this months theme. In the meantime I would like to invite you to check out the 2019 Nature Book Club on Instagram where you will find a Follow Train giving us a chance to meet new bloggers and find new resources we can use when teaching our children.
I would like to invite you to check out Thaliea website Something 2 Offer. for more information on this year’s Nature Book Club. As well as this months theme which is Winter Wildlife.
I have a question for you. Do you have a favorite Winter book that would fit this month’s theme?
I’m looking for additional ways to get Charlie involved in reading and I was wondering if you have any suggestions? As well as ways I can help Charlie with his Math and Science. Before classes ended for the Holiday’s Charlie was flunking Science.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
