In our homeschool we use Board Games. Do you do that as well? I was blessed this week when I was asked to review PlayMonster The Magical World of Disney Trivia: 100 Years of Wonder Trivia Board Game Cards for Children with Disney + Pixar Art, Exclusive Pin, for Kids Ages 6+ which you will find inside our Christmas Gift Guide 23. I can’t wait until Christmas to play this game again and again and again.

Everyone I know believes I am the king of Disney and last night I was able to prove that as we played 100th Disney Trivia Game . Before we even had the game set up Charlie opened the cards and began thumbing through them. Charlie had so much fun stumping his dad on movies like Beauty and the Beast.

The fun part was I knew almost all of the answers although there were a few cards that stumped me as well. Which we will be looking up and watching as well as studying the movie in our Homeschool Drama Class. As we were picking out which tokens everyone would be David was surprised when I piked Stitch from Lilo & Stich instead of Lion King.

David decided he wanted to be Mickey Mouse while Charlie decided to be Lion King and my sister decided she would be Frozen because she is my nieces favorite character. I can’t wait until her and Jason come over to play this game with us. I know Lily will like the castle. Charlie and I had fun collecting the small game pieces and I hate to admit it but Charlie won the first time we played but that will not happen next time.

I love how there is 2,000 trivia cards because no, matter how many times you play the game you will run across questions you don’t know the answers to which will lead to many movie nights in our home. Would you like to join us the next time we play because children from children from 5 and up will be able to read the questions on their own and answer them from movies they’ve seen throughout their lifetime.

Be prepared for lots of laughter as people shout out answers, they think will be right but might not be. I asked Charlie if he thinks this game is for women or men and he said both would enjoy playing this trivia game a lot. Charlie and I loved discussing the buildings including the castle and creating stories in our Homeschool Creative Writing Class.

We used the spinner not only in the game but to create math problems for our family to work out. Through this game Charlie was able to not only get his reading done for the day but counting and art as he created collages from the pieces in the game. Charlie and I loved the white box with the characters on it and had fun discussing what we saw.

Charlie and I even went over other movies we thought should have been Disney movies which wasn’t allowing us to broaden our studies of the movies we’ve watched and studied in our Drama Class. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out 100th Disney Triva Game I hope you do as soon as possible because I believe you will love it just as much as we did.

There’s an adult version with harder questions and then a child version with easier questions. We played with mostly adults and with a 15 and 9 year old. We started with the adult version and couldn’t answer almost any of the questions. We are all huge Disney fans too so we were surprised with how hard these questions were. We then switched out the questions for the children’s version and had a lot of fun since we could actually answer them. We still had a lot of fun playing this game. You pick your character and move around the board answering questions that correspond to a specific color. If you answer it correctly, you add that color to your character and continue playing. We played for a long time and after someone had won the game, we just continued asking each other questions from both the adult cards and children’s card. This was a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend this game.

The box showcase lithograph of Disney character silhouettes. There is more art on the inside of the box. All the pieces are in a bright, inviting blue felt covered liner. There are multiple 3D ‘buildings’ of Disney’s most legendary locations, including Cinderella’s Castle my favorite piece. The Up House Boo’s Door, and more.

The character tokens include Anna from Frozen, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Stitch, young Simba, Cinderella, and two exclusives to this edition of the game, Mirabel from Encanto a movie my family hadn’t seen. Along with one of the Aliens from Toy Story which Charlie liked a lot. Each token is \ painted in silver Charlie’s favorite color making him want to keep them out to place on a shelf in his room.

.Each piece attaches to a base where you put your trivia tokens as you earn them, which with the way my hands don’t work at times I had a hard time connecting but Charlie got them done right away. The token can also come apart from the black base. Which David had fun taking them apart and putting them back together.

Setting up the game is very simple, take out the board, and unfold it. Watch out or you might get distracted looking at the pictures like my family did. Then you will match the 3D structures with their matching location on the board. Then you need to remove the spinner. Before you ask who goes first the youngest player moves and is asked the question of the color they landed on.

You may have that color already, or maybe you answer wrong, but everything is simple, and the game makes sense. There are two question styles, one for younger children, and one for more advanced players. Even in the questions for younger children, the game does not shy away from presenting some very deep catalog questions which stumped my family more than once.

Gameplay is fast, and you can have as few as 2 players up to 6. For more fun play in teams for more fun like adults against children or boys against girls. The entire game tool less than a hour from set up to finish and announcing a winner. With school out for Summer soon make sure you have this game on hand to keep children from becoming bored and always on electronics.
