10 Fun Family Presents for this Holiday Season

The Mommies Reviews

The best holiday gifts are the ones that the whole family can enjoy. But it can be hard to find the perfect family gift, especially if everyone in your home has different personalities and tastes. Just in case you need to jog your creativity, here are 10 fun family presents that you can give to everyone on your shopping list this holiday season.

  1. Board Games

What’s more fun than a family game night? Wrap up a few family board games and gift them to your family so you’ll have some new games to play next time it’s game night. Try and mix up the types of board games you get so you’ll have some variety. For example, you can get a classic board-based game (The Game of Life), a movement-based game (Twister), and a simple card game (Uno). You could also wrap a few snacks for everyone to share on game night.

2. Ping Pong Table

Are you trying to fill some extra space in your home? Why not turn it into a game room and add an affordable ping pong table! Ping Pong (or table tennis, if that’s what you call it) is a super fun game that everyone can play, and you’ll also be able to use it outside during backyard barbecues. Your family might also enjoy a foosball table—just remember that foosball can get a little louder than Ping Pong.

3. A Pet Bed

Pets are an important part of any family, and they deserve a special gift of their own. Give your pet the royal treatment with a memory foam pet bed. That’s right—your pets can enjoy a mattress that’s just as comfortable as your own! Unfortunately, “the doghouse” may no longer be an intimidating threat if your hubby steps out of line.

4. Fish

No, we’re not talking about fried tilapia! If your family doesn’t already have a beloved pet, consider buying a self-cleaning fish tank. And here’s what you do: take your family to the pet store and let each person pick out one fish for the tank. Each person in your family can name the fish they pick! It’s quirky, but enjoyable present for your family.

5. A Vacation

They say that there’s no better gift than a great memory—so why not take your family on a memorable vacation? You can do almost anything! Travel to another country, take a cruise, go on a road trip, or visit a theme park for a few days. If you don’t quite have the funds for those things, you can also take your family out for an afternoon activity, like indoor skydiving.

6. Karaoke System

Does your family enjoy singing? Then a home karaoke system makes the perfect family gift! Visit a local party goods store and buy some silly rockstar or popstar costumes so your family can dress the part while they’re belting out their favorite tunes.

7. Ice Cream Maker

Do you cook all your family’s meals? Maybe it’s time to get them in on the fun. Gift a home ice cream maker for your family and have fun making homemade ice cream together. Younger kids might have no idea that ice cream can be made at home! As an alternative option, you can get some supplies to bake your own pizzas—just be sure to get some family cookbooks, just in case you get a few aspiring chefs.

8. New TV

Upgrade to a 4K TV if you have a little more dough to spend! A TV is a great gift for the whole family because everyone can enjoy it for a different purpose, whether they’re watching movies, playing video games, or rooting for sports teams. Consider getting a smart TV, which can connect to the internet and your favorite streaming services.

9. Giant Board Games Jenga (or Connect Four)

The only thing better than board games are GIANT board games! The kids really enjoy playing super-sized versions of their favorite games, like Jenga or Connect Four.

10. Projector

Take movie night to the next level by getting a multimedia projector for your family. A projector allows you to screen movies at larger sizes so you can screen them on a wall or on the side of your home (very fun during the summer). Be sure to wrap lots of popcorn, candy, and other movie snacks.Need more gift ideas? Check out our 2019 Christmas gift guide!
